Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
- Active Massachusetts Physical Therapy license required to start the assignment.
- Current BLS (American Heart Association or Red Cross) required.
- Experience providing home health physical therapy to adult and pediatric patients, including evaluation, treatment planning, and documentation.
- Experience with diagnostic muscle, nerve, joint, and functional ability testing and the ability to modify treatment plans based on patient progress.
- Ability to provide patient and family education and to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for discharge planning.
- Comfort supervising and providing guidance to Physical Therapist Assistants, aides, and students.
- Documentation skills consistent with departmental quality assessment and infection control standards.
- Reliable transportation for travel to patient homes in the service area and ability to manage a typical 40-hour workweek in a home health setting.
- Preferred: Specialist certification and prior experience serving as a clinical resource in a focused area of practice.
