Minimum Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited school of occupational therapy.
- Graduate from an Accredited School of Occupational Therapy.
- Occupational Therapy license in good standing with the State of Oregon.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA).

Location Highlights
John Day, OR is a small, rural community surrounded by Pacific Northwest scenery. The area offers outdoor recreation including hiking, fishing, and scenic drives. The community is approximately one hour from Bakersfield and about three hours from a major airport. Candidates should be comfortable living in a frontier/rural environment. Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Promote the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
- Assist physicians in the evaluation, diagnosis, and prognosis by performing muscle, nerve, joint, and functional ability testing.
- Develop and revise occupational therapy treatment plans based on assessment results and physician input.
- Treat patients to relieve pain and restore function using active and passive exercises, muscle re-education, transfers, ADL/IADL training, prosthetic training, and safety education.
- Provide ongoing assessment and analysis of patient function and progress, weighing risks and benefits relative to medical condition and rehabilitation potential.
- Complete timely and accurate documentation following department and regulatory guidelines, including HIPAA, Medicare, and Medicaid requirements.
- Coordinate therapy activities with other health care disciplines and consult with appropriate agencies to ensure follow-up care.
- Participate in quality and performance improvement activities, including clinical competency measurement, regulatory compliance, outcome achievement, resource management, team performance, and customer satisfaction.
