UPMC is seeking a Full-Time Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant/PA or Nurse Practitioner/CRNP) to join our Cardiology team within the nationally renowned UPMC Heart and Vascular Institute at UPMC Williamsport. This is an excellent opportunity to provide high-quality, patient-centered cardiovascular care across both inpatient and outpatient settings while working alongside a highly collaborative and experienced heart team.
In this role, you'll make a meaningful impact caring for a large and diverse patient population, with a balanced practice that includes both clinic and hospital-based care.
Schedule & Work-Life Balance
- Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Hospital & call rotation with APP team
- Blend of outpatient clinic and inpatient rounding
Compensation & Incentives
- Competitive salary based on experience
- Sign-on bonus & Annual incentive bonus available
- CME: 5 days & $2,500 annually

What You'll Do
- Provide comprehensive cardiovascular care in both outpatient and inpatient settings
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic cardiac conditions
- Participate in hospital rounding and collaborate on inpatient care plans
- Develop individualized care plans focused on quality outcomes
- Educate patients and families on heart health and disease prevention
- Collaborate with cardiologists and interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care
- Knowledge of growth and development principles
- Ability to provide age-appropriate patient care across the lifespan
- Ability to assess patient data and deliver care per departmental policies
- Strong interpersonal, critical thinking, and clinical judgment skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Physical stamina and dexterity required for direct patient care
- Successful attainment and maintenance of hospital privileges, where applicable.
Licensure, Education, Certifications, and Clearances:
- Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP)
- Physician Assistant (PA)
- Graduation from an ARC‑PA–accredited Physician Assistant program
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree preferred
- Pennsylvania PA license and NCCPA certification
- Required for All APP Candidates
- CPR certification required within 30 days of hire
