What You'll Need:
• Associate degree in Radiation Oncology or related field, or higher.
• National certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiation Therapy.
• State licensure in Radiation Therapy if required by Arizona.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Knowledge of clinical techniques, applications and equipment related to radiation therapy.
• Ability to perform equipment quality control and follow radiation safety practices including ALARA principles.
• Effective communication and human relations skills.
• Ability to stand and walk frequently, use proper body mechanics, and lift up to 75 pounds as needed.
Minimum Qualifications (Client-Specific Requirements):
• ARRT Radiation Therapist certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• Associate degree in radiation oncology or related field required; bachelor’s preferred.
• Previous radiation therapy experience preferred.
• Must demonstrate competence in simulation, treatment planning, and operating external beam treatment equipment.
• Experience performing and evaluating equipment quality control measurements and troubleshooting equipment.
• Experience with administering prescribed doses and maintaining accurate treatment documentation.
• Must adhere to facility-specific clearance requirements when applicable. Employees working at certain affiliated campuses may be required to obtain state Department of Public Safety fingerprint clearance prior to hire and maintain it for the duration of employment. (If applicable, candidate will be informed during the hiring process.)

Additional Duties:
• Perform radiation therapy treatments by following and verifying referring providers’ orders.
• Educate patients and families regarding procedures and treatments.
• Prepare treatments, position patients, and ensure proper immobilization during therapy.
• Operate treatment and treatment planning equipment, including simulation.
• Perform prescribed invasive/interventional procedures as required by department protocols.
• Maintain accurate documentation of treatments and patient records.
• Ensure safe receipt, administration, storage, and disposal of radioactive materials.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support efficient department workflow and quality patient outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous radiation therapy experience preferred.
• Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
