What You'll Need:
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy from an accredited program
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Radiation Therapy
• State Radiation Therapy license if required by Arizona regulations
• BLS certification
• Demonstrated knowledge of clinical techniques, applications, and equipment relative to radiation therapy
• Effective communication and human relations skills
• Ability to follow radiation safety practices and ALARA principles
Minimum Qualifications:
• Associate degree in radiation oncology or related field, or equivalent clinical education.
• ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy required.
• State licensure as applicable for Arizona.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a radiation therapist preferred. (Preferred)
• Experience operating treatment and treatment planning equipment, including simulation and performing equipment quality control measurements.
• Experience performing prescribed invasive/interventional procedures per departmental policy preferred. (Preferred)
• Experience working in hospital or oncology clinic environments preferred. (Preferred)
• Must meet facility-specific screening requirements, which may include fingerprint clearance or other background checks as required by certain programs. Candidates must be aware of varied work schedule details prior to applying.

Additional Duties:
• Perform radiation therapy treatments by following and verifying providers' orders.
• Operate and maintain radiation therapy treatment and planning equipment, including simulation.
• Prepare and administer prescribed doses according to departmental policies and documentation standards.
• Educate patients and families regarding procedures and treatments.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions and maintain accurate treatment records.
• Perform equipment quality control and troubleshooting; notify appropriate personnel for maintenance.
• Ensure safe receipt, administration, storage, and disposal of radioactive materials using ALARA principles.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical, legal, and professional responsibilities related to radiation oncology practice.
Additional Information:
• This position may direct activities of students and support staff at select facilities.
• Physical demands include frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 75 pounds as needed.
