Our client, a leading organization in autonomous mobility, is seeking a dedicated and skilled IT Security Engineer to join their dynamic team. As an IT Security Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Security Operations Center (SOC) supporting the company's cybersecurity initiatives. Pay Range: $83 per hour + benefits
What's the Job?
- Manage and optimize SIEM and SOAR platforms to enhance threat detection and incident response capabilities.
- Develop and fine-tune detection rules, dashboards, and reports to identify anomalous activities effectively.
- Create, manage, and improve automation workflows and playbooks using Python scripting to streamline security operations.
- Conduct proactive threat hunting and analyze security alerts to identify potential security incidents.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve overall security posture and maintain comprehensive documentation of security procedures.
What's Needed?
- 6+ years of experience supporting a Security Operations Center (SOC) or similar security environment.
- Proficiency with SOAR platforms such as Palo Alto Cortex XSOAR, Splunk SOAR, or Tines, including playbook development.
- Strong scripting skills in Python for automation and integration tasks.
- Deep understanding of incident response methodologies, threat intelligence, and cybersecurity frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK and NIST.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to work effectively in a dynamic environment.
