Position Details:
Mercy Hospital's 6C Medical Neurology Unit offers a meaningful opportunity for nurses to increase their skills with patients requiring frequent neurological assessments, close monitoring for changes in mental status, and management of complex conditions such as stroke, seizures, traumatic brain injury, multiple sclerosis, and neuromuscular disorders. Many patients need assistance with mobility, fall prevention measures, medication management, swallowing precautions, and multidisciplinary care involving therapy services.

What You'll Do
Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care
Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary care teams
Educate patients and families on treatment plans and health management
Monitor patient progress and promote positive outcomes
Support a culture of safety, excellence, and teamwork
Qualifications:
Registered Nurse (RN)
Graduate of an accredited/state-approved School of Nursing
Current RN license or eligibility for licensure in the state of practice
Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider/BLS certification or ability to obtain during orientation
Graduate Nurse (GN)
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
