Full Time Overnight Security Officer
Shift: Wednesday, Thursday (Burlington, MA) & Friday, Saturday (Bedford, MA)
Pay Rate: $20.50/hour
Location: Burlington, MA / Bedford, MA
Securitas Security Services is seeking a dependable and professional Security Officer to support operations at client sites in Bedford, MA & Burlington, MA The Security Officer will help maintain a safe and secure environment for employees, contractors, visitors, and company property through routine patrols, access control, and incident response procedures.
This position is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented, customer-service focused, and comfortable working independently in an industrial setting during weekend shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor facility access points and verify employee, contractor, and visitor credentials
- Conduct interior and exterior patrols of the manufacturing site
- Observe and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, or security concerns
- Complete daily activity reports and incident documentation accurately and professionally
- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and client requests
- Enforce client site policies and security procedures
- Provide excellent customer service to employees and visitors
- Maintain communication with site management and Securitas leadership throughout the shift
- Assist with emergency response procedures, including evacuations and medical incidents when necessary
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous security, military, manufacturing, or customer service experience preferred but not required
- Strong communication and observation skills
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Basic computer and report-writing skills
- Must pass background screening and any required drug testing
- Valid driver’s license preferred
