About the Role
Substitute Teachers at Merryhill School have the unique opportunity to support a variety of classrooms and age groups. In this flexible role, you will step into different learning environments, follow established lesson plans, and help maintain continuity of instruction when teachers are absent. Your adaptability, professionalism, and classroom management skills will ensure students experience a productive, positive day of learning.
You will also:
- Promote positive social and emotional development in students
- Cover classroom duties and instructional tasks as needed
- Build supportive relationships with students, teachers, and school staff
- Maintain an organized, structured, and engaging classroom environment
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Prior teaching or classroom experience preferred
- Ability to pass state and federal background checks
- Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills
- Flexibility, professionalism, and a positive attitude
