Wellshire Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team!
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled technician who is passionate about surgical nursing, anesthesia, dentistry, and providing excellent patient care throughout every stage of the visit. In this role, you'll utilize your technical expertise in a fast-paced, supportive environment by assisting with surgery and dental procedures, taking patient histories, supporting exam room workflow, and collaborating closely with veterinarians to deliver exceptional care.
In this role, you will: - Provide exceptional patient care during surgical and dental procedures, including patient preparation, anesthesia induction and monitoring, recovery, and post-operative care
- Perform dental prophylaxis, full-mouth dental radiographs, and assist with advanced dental procedures
- Support laparoscopic and other advanced surgical procedures with efficiency and attention to detail
- Ensure smooth exam room workflow while delivering outstanding client communication
- Review treatment plans, provide discharge instructions, and answer client questions with empathy and clarity
- Collaborate closely with doctors and team members to support outpatient care and maintain high standards of medicine

This position is ideal for a detail-oriented technician who thrives in a surgery-focused environment, enjoys hands-on procedural work including advanced soft tissue, dental, and laparoscopic procedures and is committed to exceptional patient care and teamwork.
This is a full-time position, with a 4/10 schedule and availability needed Monday-Friday, with rotating Saturdays.
Full-time benefits and compensation**: - Compensation: $25 - $30 per hour, for each hour worked*

Minimum qualifications and skillset:
- Current Veterinary Technician License in the state of Colorado
- 3+ years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting
- Proficiency in the following skills:
- Client communication
- Anesthesia monitoring
- Dental prophy
- IVC placement
- Outpatient care
