Job Summary and Qualifications
Under the direct supervision of the Supervisor, performs all technical procedures in accordance with all standards set by applicable regulatory agencies including CAP, JCAHO, CLIA, AABB and OSHA. Maintains knowledge of all procedures and protocols. Maintains proficiency in performance of technical procedures. Required to work variable shifts to cover for PTO. Testing is provided for patients with varying degrees of clinical conditions and different acuity levels. Testing is provided for all age ranges from newborns to geriatric patients.
What qualifications you will need:
- (MLS) Medical Laboratory Scientist, or (MT-AAB) Medical Technologist, or (MLT) Medical Laboratory Technician, or Bachelors Degree, or Associate Degree, or Vocational School Graduate must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
- Bachelor's degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory, chemical, physical or biological; OR Associate degree in chemical, physical or biological science or medical laboratory or equivalent education and training. Successful completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Science program.
- Blood Bank experience preferred
