Join as a traveling Physical Therapist in Bowling Green, KY, at a Long Term Acute Care Hospital where you will help patients recover from critical illness and complex conditions while experiencing work in a new location. This role emphasizes patient and employee safety, safe patient handling, accurate documentation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and professional development. You will complete comprehensive evaluations, develop and progress treatment plans, manage individual and group treatment sessions, and participate in discharge planning and family training.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
- Active Kentucky physical therapy license required to start the assignment.
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
- Experience in inpatient rehabilitation, long-term acute care, or critical illness/complex care preferred.
- Demonstrated competency in comprehensive evaluations, goal writing, documentation (including letters of medical necessity and discharge documentation), and use of electronic medical records.
- Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and manage caseloads that include individual, concurrent, and group treatments.
- Adherence to state practice act, professional code of conduct, and completion of required continuing education.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in LTACH or select medical rehabilitation settings preferred.
- Experience with safe patient handling programs and materials handling preferred.
- Participation in clinical education or student supervision preferred.

- Shift Pattern: 5x8 (five shifts per week, eight hours each).
