Make a meaningful difference as a travel Occupational Therapist in Boston, MA. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate clinician to assist patients with injuries, illnesses, or disabilities in regaining or improving daily skills in an inpatient hospital setting. This role requires clinical confidence in acute care and the ability to work collaboratively with nursing, physicians, and case management teams.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Active Massachusetts OT license required to start the assignment.
- Valid CPR certification (AHA BLS healthcare provider) required.
- At least 1 year of experience in the acute care hospital environment; 2+ years acute care experience preferred.
- Familiarity with acute care patient handling, transfer techniques, and time management in a fast-paced hospital setting.
- Ability to work with diverse patient populations and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- ICU experience preferred.
- Experience with EPIC documentation preferred.
- Experience treating musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiopulmonary, and post-surgical diagnoses preferred.
Assignment Details
- Shift hours: 0800–1600.
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week, no weekends and no major holidays.
- Work setting: Inpatient rehab department providing coverage across inpatient floors; patients range from pediatric to geriatric with diverse impairments.
- Typical productivity goal: approximately 5.2 hours of direct patient care per 8-hour day; clinicians often manage patient lists of 8–15 and typically see 6–7 patients per shift.
- Department attire: dark gray scrubs required.
