Overview:
Functions as a team member of the Vascular Diagnostics Laboratory providing prompt, accurate, thorough non-invasive vascular testing and completing advanced provisional reports in a fast-paced work environment.
Duties include:
- Completes exams for outpatient clinics, which include advanced specialized interventions from UF Health Vascular Surgery, as well as inpatient exams including neonates through Gerontology, ICU, ER and ongoing research trials.
- Responsible for performing examinations as well as assisting in the daily operations which include, but are not
- limited to, IAC quarterly data, precepting interns and fellows, assisting with vascular OR cases, and rotation of charge role duties.
- Daily studies include, but are not limited to, vein mapping, abdominal aorta-AAA screening, abdominal aorta Iliac duplex, arterial Doppler upper or lower extremities, arterial Doppler lower extremity with or without exercise, renal artery duplex, mesenteric (SMA/celiac) duplex, venous insufficiency, thoracic outlet, graft scan lower and upper extremity with or without ABI, pre-op assessment for AVF placement, arterial mapping, AVF duplex hemodialysis graft, venous duplex upper or lower extremity, AVF (Fistula) duplex, and carotid.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
- Completion of formal education and/or training in Vascular Technology,
- registered or registry eligible RVT through the ARMDS or RVS through CCI within 12 months of hire.
- One year experience in a Vascular Diagnostic Laboratory, Cardiovascular Laboratory or closely associated allied health field is preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: ARDMS (RVT) or CCI (RVS) required within 12 months of hire.
BLS Certification
