Make a meaningful difference as a travel Occupational Therapist. We seek a dedicated clinician to help patients with injuries, illnesses, or disabilities regain or improve daily skills while exploring a new location in Bradenton, FL. This role supports both acute care and an inpatient rehabilitation unit within a hospital setting. The rehab services team includes two therapy gyms and an ADL apartment to support patient-centered care.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Active Florida OT license required to start the assignment.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Hospital and/or Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF) experience highly preferred.
- Ability and willingness to work on an IRF unit.
- Weekend flexibility required. Minimum one weekend shift per month; additional weekend availability preferred.
- Experience with stroke and neuro populations preferred.
- Experience with adaptive devices, ADL training, and discharge planning preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Meditech EMR preferred.
- Prior experience working in a Level II trauma center preferred.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and clinical reasoning skills.
- Team-oriented, flexible, and collaborative professional demeanor.
Assignment Details
- Shift Hours: 0700–1730.
- Shift Days: Days (staffed to support patient care needs).
- Patient load: Approximately 4 patients/day on IRF and 8–12 patients/day in acute care.
- Unit staffing: Approximately 15 OTs on staff across full-time, part-time, and PRN roles.
- Facilities and equipment: Two therapy gyms and an ADL apartment available for treatment.
- EMR: Meditech.
