Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
- At least 24 months of current Physical Therapist / PT experience is required.
- At least 1 year of previous PT experience is required.
- Active State Physical Therapy license is required to start the assignment. Candidates without an Iowa license will be considered if they are willing and able to apply for the Iowa license.
- BLS certification from AHA or American Red Cross is required.
- Driver's license is required.
- EPIC electronic medical record experience is required.
- Outpatient experience is required. Inpatient experience is preferred.
- Travel experience: at least one completed travel contract is preferred.
- Work history/resume/employment history must document the required 24 months of PT experience.
- Skills checklist specific to Physical Therapist discipline is required.
- Professional reference or performance evaluation from a charge/supervisor/nurse manager/director/CNO/COO within the past 24 months is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous acute care weekend experience is preferred.
- Experience with orthopedic and neurological patient populations is preferred.
Assignment Details
- Shift start time: 08:00.
- Schedule includes working 4 days in outpatient clinic and 1 day per week in acute care.
- May be asked to work 1–2 acute care weekends while on assignment; occasional on-call coverage on weekends may be required (examples provided by client: Saturday 07:00–12:00 and Sunday 07:00–11:00).
- Orientation occurs weekly, every Monday.
- Traveler may be required to float within the same discipline across local campuses.

Responsibilities include treating orthopedic, neuro, and safety discharge patients and supporting continuity of care between outpatient and acute settings.
