Join as a traveling Physical Therapist in Miami, FL where you will help patients recover from injuries and manage chronic conditions while gaining experience in an inpatient rehab and acute care hospital setting. This role supports inpatient rehab (IRF), acute rehab, and outpatient populations and works with a multidisciplinary team of PT/OT/ST clinicians.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
- Active Florida state PT license is required to start the assignment.
- BLS certification required from AHA or ARC.
- Experience working in inpatient rehabilitation, acute rehab, or hospital-based outpatient settings preferred.
- Experience with documentation systems such as Meditech and NetHealth (ReDoc) preferred.
- Experience providing evaluations and follow-up treatments, including vestibular and lymphedema treatments preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
- Previous travel therapy experience and ability to adapt to a fast-paced unit preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work well within team dynamics and function independently when needed.
Assignment Details
- Shift hours: 0900-1730.
- Facility provides care across inpatient rehab (IRF), acute rehab, and outpatient programs with estimated patient ratios IRF 1:4, Acute 1:12, Outpatient 1:10.
- Documentation systems used: Meditech for IRF and Acute, NetHealth (ReDoc) for Outpatient.
- Therapy unit size: approximate 80 staff members supporting rehabilitation services.
