Make a meaningful difference as a travel OT in San Antonio, TX. We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to help patients with injuries, illnesses, or disabilities regain or improve daily skills while working in an acute care hospital setting. This role involves treating neuro and orthopedic inpatients and supporting acute care units including ortho, telemetry and ICU.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Active Texas Occupational Therapist license required to start the assignment. No temporary licenses allowed.
- Minimum 2 years of experience preferred; must have inpatient rehab and/or hospital experience.
- BLS certification may be required from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Experience with Meditech documentation preferred.
- Ability and willingness to float to other units as needed while on assignment.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2–3 years of experience in inpatient rehab and/or acute hospital settings.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
- Neurodevelopmental Treatment (NDT) or brain injury certifications preferred.
Assignment Details
- Shift hours: 08:00–17:00.
- Start time no later than 08:00 AM.
- Must work two weekend shifts per month; will have a weekday off when a weekend shift is worked.
- Guaranteed hours: 36 hours per week.
- Documentation system: Meditech.
- Floating to other units as needed per facility floating policy.
