Our doctors manage a broad range of medical and surgical cases, including preventive care, urgent care, dentistry, soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, dermatology, senior pet care, regenerative medicine, and canine reproduction services.
Our Medical Director, Dr. Julia Alpert, has special interests in soft tissue surgery, dentistry, canine reproductive medicine, and individualized pain management. Who We're Looking For The ideal candidate is:
- A confident small animal veterinarian with at least 3 years of clinical and surgical experience
- Comfortable performing routine soft tissue surgeries and interested in continuing to develop surgical skills
- Adaptable and decisive when managing urgent care cases
- An excellent communicator with clients, colleagues, and support staff
- Growth-oriented and committed to continually expanding their medical and surgical knowledge
- Compassionate, collaborative, and team-focused
- Motivated to help advance the quality and scope of services offered by the hospital
- A veterinarian who leads with empathy and finds fulfillment helping colleagues succeed
Qualifications Required - Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited college of veterinary medicine (or equivalent certification for international graduates)
- Active Washington veterinary license in good standing, or ability to obtain licensure prior to start date
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in small animal medicine and surgery
- Strong commitment to practicing high-quality, evidence-based veterinary medicine
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-doctor practice environment
- Passion for patient care, client education, and professional growth
Preferred - Experience in small animal general practice and urgent care
- Proficiency in soft tissue surgery and dentistry
- Experience utilizing ultrasound, digital radiography, and in-house laboratory diagnostics
- Interest in helping expand clinical services and hospital capabilities
- Desire to mentor others and contribute to a positive hospital culture
