Job Summary and Qualifications
- Perform a variety of Nuclear Medicine studies.
- Order, prepare, calibrate, storage, and administer radiopharmaceuticals
- Operate various radiation detection devices.
- Perform quality assurance
- Assist in the cleaning and maintenance of the Nuclear Medicine department
- Renders patient care in a professional and courteous manner and always identifies patients utilizing the proper protocols
- Enter proper patient charges upon completion of nuclear exam
- Perform quarterly inventories of radioactive sealed sources
- Perform decontamination procedures
- Process Images from scans of nuclear studies
- Maintains work area in a clean and orderly manner
- Maintains strict confidentiality regarding employees and patients
- Completes and maintains educational requirements
What qualifications you will need:
EXPERIENCE
- REQUIRED: None
- PREFERRED: Minimum of one year as a nuclear medicine technologist
EDUCATION
- REQUIRED: Graduate of accredited School of Nuclear Medicine Technology
- Continuing education as required for licensure
LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION:
- REQUIRED: Current licensure in Nuclear Medicine by ARRT or CNMT (ARRT-N or CNMNT)
- BLS for Healthcare Providers through AHA or CPR through American Red Cross
