Jackson HealthPros is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team. The technologist will prepare and administer radioactive drugs and operate radiation detection and imaging equipment. This role is based in Rome, GA at a hospital setting. Candidates should be comfortable working independently when required and performing a full range of nuclear medicine procedures for adult patients.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in nuclear medicine technology or related field.
- BLS certification.
- ARRT or NMTCB certification required.
- Minimum 2 years of nuclear medicine technologist experience.
- Experience performing cardiac stress/rest tests, HIDA, GI bleed studies, VQ (lung perfusion) scans, renal, bone, parathyroid (with SPECT CT), and other adult nuclear medicine exams.
- Experience starting IVs.
- Experience with Siemens CKM and Siemens Symbia S required.
- Comfortable working solo as the only nuclear medicine technologist on shift when needed.
- Ability to work with EMR (Epic) and PACS (Philips).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Siemens Prospecta.
- Prior experience in a trauma-designated, teaching hospital or tertiary care setting.
Assignment Details
- Shift days: Monday through Friday.
- Shift hours: 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
- Standard hours per week: 36.
- Orientation: Four shifts of orientation once in the department.
- Weekend rotation: Staffing includes 2–3 nuclear med techs during the week and 1 on weekends; refer to requisition for exact rotation.
- Holiday expectations: On-call for some holidays; call only for others.
- Support within department: Lead tech, management, house transport; RN support available (one RN during weekend for cardiac cases).
- Floating: No floating required.
- Scrub color: Black. Parking: Free.
