As a Charge Nurse in the Emergency Room, you will play a critical role in coordinating patient care activities and ensuring the highest standards of nursing practice. Your leadership will guide a team of healthcare professionals in delivering comprehensive care to patients with diverse and complex needs.
- Assess patients' physical and psychosocial conditions continuously throughout their care
- Develop and implement personalized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
- Evaluate patient outcomes and readiness for discharge, revising care plans as necessary
- Act as a liaison between nurses, physicians, and allied health professionals
- Participate in performance improvement and risk management activities
- Provide education to patients, families, and staff based on assessed learning needs
- Supervise licensed practical nurses, certified nurse aides, and ward clerks
- Need 1 year experience in setting
- Current Registered Nurse License in good standing with the State of Colorado
- BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS certifications required within six months of hire
