Role Overview
As a Surgical Technologist, you will collaborate closely with surgeons, registered nurses and the broader OR team to:
- Ensure the operating room environment is safe, sterile and efficient.
- Set up, maintain and troubleshoot equipment and instrumentation so procedures run smoothly.
- Apply your expertise in sterile and aseptic techniques to optimize surgical outcomes.
- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and actively contribute to a positive patient experience.
Qualifications & Key Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Graduation from an accredited School of Surgical Technology program or military equivalent (e.g., MOS 68D – Operating Room Specialist).
- Current Surgical Technologist certification preferred; if not certified at hire, newly qualified grads may be required to achieve certification within 12 months.
- Prior experience as a Surgical Technologist preferred — the ability to swiftly validate skills, learn department-specific competencies, and navigate a fast‐paced operating room environment is important.
- Strong customer-service mindset, excellent interpersonal communication, time-management and team-oriented attitude.
