Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
- Active Florida Physical Therapy license required to start the assignment.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Experience providing outpatient physical therapy evaluations and treatment, including 60-minute evaluations and one-on-one treatment sessions.
- Documentation competency in electronic medical records, including goal writing, progress notes, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in accordance with payer and clinic policies.
- Ability to design functional, return-to-community treatment plans and modify plans based on clinical reasoning and physician direction.
- Experience supervising and delegating tasks to therapy support staff and providing student supervision as assigned.
- Compliance with state practice act, professional code of conduct, and completion of required continuing education.
- Familiarity with safe patient handling, infection control, materials handling, and workplace safety practices.
- Preferred: prior experience in outpatient settings with musculoskeletal caseloads and experience with long-duration evaluations (60 minutes).
