Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Sales Leader to lead our Technical Solutions sales team across the Detroit–Pittsburgh–Columbus territory. This role will focus on strengthening the existing sales culture while driving growth and managing an established book of business.
The ideal candidate brings a strong track record in sales leadership, with success in high-value, solution-based (intangible/service) sales, and understands how to align sales and operations to deliver a winning service culture.
This leader will be responsible for developing the existing sales culture, driving new business growth, and managing an established portfolio of accounts.
This role requires the ability to see the “big picture” and effectively align sales strategy with operational execution to deliver strong client outcomes and sustained growth. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of leading high-performing sales teams and achieving results in complex, conceptual, service-based sales environments.
Who Will Be Successful in This Role
This role is ideal for a sales leader who has successfully led, coached, and scaled B2B sales teams selling HVAC, mechanical, or technical service solutions.
The successful candidate brings both strong sales leadership experience and enough mechanical or technical fluency to confidently engage customers, coach representatives in the field, and partner closely with operations teams.
Pay: $140,000.00-$155,000.00 annually
The pay listed is the salary range for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

- Lead, coach, and develop a regional sales team of Business Development Managers and Account Managers across the Detroit–Pittsburgh–Columbus territory
- Own sales performance, including pipeline health, forecasting accuracy, and accountability
- Conduct regular ride-alongs, deal strategy sessions, and performance coaching
- Execute sales strategies to drive profitability, growth, and market penetration
- Develop and lead B2B sales efforts focused on new business development and account expansion, selling bundled facility solutions
- Recruit, hire, train, and retain high performing outside sales representatives
- Support and guide the team through the full sales cycle, from prospecting to close
- Partner with operations and branch leadership to ensure successful service delivery and client satisfaction
- Assist in developing infrastructure solutions across lighting, electrical, and maintenance offerings
- Collaborate closely with the General Manager and Regional Director of Sales to drive results and enhance leadership effectiveness
- Manage sales reporting, annual planning, and quarterly forecasting
- Participate in customer meetings to help advance and close strategic opportunities
- Support the team in building financial and lifecycle analyses to demonstrate customer value
- Conduct weekly one-on-one performance reviews with team members
Required
- Minimum of five (5) years of proven outside sales experience selling commercial service offerings and/or solutions, including:
- Mechanical HVAC maintenance, repair, replacement
- Controls, building automation systems (BAS)
- Energy services or related technical facility solutions
- Experience leading or mentoring sales professionals in a team environment
- Willingness to travel regionally (50–70% travel) across the Detroit–Pittsburgh–Columbus territory, especially during the first year
Preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience in facilities solutions sales management)
- Experience leading sales teams focused on service agreements, maintenance contracts, or retrofit solutions
- Strong partnership experience with operations, service managers, and field teams
- “Player-coach” leadership style with the ability to both lead and actively support sales execution
- Demonstrated success selling to commercial clients, including building owners and C-level stakeholders
- Strong financial acumen and ability to articulate value through business case development
- Proven track record of consistent high performance and goal attainment
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Salesforce (or similar CRM)
