Minimum Requirements
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited educational program.
- Completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) and current Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA (preferred if specified by client; otherwise required as stated above).
- Active Florida state license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist is required to start the assignment.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross may be required.
- Experience working in skilled nursing facility or long-term care environments is required. Clinical experience with dysphagia management and cognitive-communication disorders is required.
- Familiarity with documentation systems used in inpatient rehabilitation and skilled nursing settings is preferred.
