Jackson HealthPros is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist to expertly assist physicians and nurses in the operating room during surgical procedures, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients by preparing the operating room, sterilizing equipment, and providing support to the surgical team.
Minimum Requirements:
- Current certification from a program accredited by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or equivalent credential recognized in Vermont.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a certified OR Technician / Surgical Technologist in a hospital surgical environment. Experience with orthopedic procedures preferred.
- Experience working in an environment with on-call responsibilities. This position includes an on-call component.
- Compliance with applicable state and federal healthcare regulations.
- Ability to maintain sterile technique, prepare and sterilize instruments, and assist circulator and surgeons during procedures.
- Preferred: Experience with orthopedic instrument sets and power tools. Preferred: Previous experience in a Level II or tertiary care hospital.
