What You'll Need:
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy from an accredited program
• AART Certification in Radiation Therapy
• Valid Ohio Radiation Therapy license
• BLS certification
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Radiation Therapist. Experience in outpatient oncology or cancer center settings preferred.
• Experience with CT/Sim and conventional simulation procedures
• Competency with treatment delivery systems and basic dose calculations
• Experience or familiarity with Elekta systems preferred.
• Experience with HDR brachytherapy preferred.

Additional Duties:
• Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment.
• Accurately position patients and ensure proper immobilization during treatment.
• Verify treatment plans and dosage with the oncology team.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions during and after therapy.
• Document treatments and maintain accurate patient records.
• Perform CT/Sim, portal imaging, basic dose calculations, and routine QA documentation.
• Assist with diagnostic CT as requested.
Unit Specific Details:
• Demonstrate understanding of radiation biology, safety, and psychosocial aspects of cancer care.
• Participate in treatment planning, tumor localization, and delivery of prescribed ionizing radiation.
• Review daily treatment records and notify physicians of concerns or adverse effects.
• Maintain documentation of quality assurance activities and report equipment maintenance needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Elekta system experience preferred.
• HDR brachytherapy experience preferred.
Notes:
• The clinician may be asked to perform morning QA shifts as noted above.
• Candidates must maintain appropriate credentials and certifications throughout the assignment.
