Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
- Active Arizona Physical Therapy license required to start the assignment.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from AHA or ARC required.
- Minimum 1 year of inpatient acute care or hospital physical therapy experience preferred. (Preferred)
- Experience with documentation in an electronic medical record and completion of daily notes, goals, discharge documentation, and letters of medical necessity required.
- Competence in evaluating patients, developing and modifying treatment plans, and implementing functional treatment programs in an acute care hospital setting.
- Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and participate in discharge planning, equipment trials, and patient/family education.
- Willingness to participate in student supervision and professional development activities as assigned.
- Maintain professional licensure and complete state-mandated continuing education requirements.
Assignment Details
- Facility Type: Hospital.
- Duration: 13 Week assignment.
- Shift Details: Day, 5x8 schedule. Schedule: Thursday through Monday.
- Responsibilities include evaluations, treatment planning, delegation to therapy disciplines, documentation, discharge planning, patient and family education, and participation in safety and performance improvement initiatives.
- Must follow hospital standards for appearance, attendance, and safety practices such as safe patient handling and infection control.
