Join our team as a Certified CVOR Surgical Technologist in Salem, VA. You will function as a member of a cardiac surgical team, assisting physicians and perioperative nurses in the operating room during cardiac procedures. You will prepare the operating room, sterilize and set up specialized cardiovascular instruments, and provide intraoperative support to maintain patient safety and efficient workflow.
Minimum Requirements:
- Current certification from a program accredited by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or equivalent CST credential.
- Current BLS certification.
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a certified CVOR technologist in a cardiac surgical environment, with documented experience in open heart, vascular, and endovascular procedures.
- Experience with cardiopulmonary bypass setup and sterile field management for cardiovascular cases.
- Familiarity with CVOR-specific instrumentation and implants, including sternal closure systems and vascular grafts.
- Ability to follow sterile technique, instrumentation count procedures, and perioperative safety protocols.
- Current state licensure or registration if required by Virginia regulations.
- Preferred: ACLS certification.
