Minimum Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited educational program.
- Completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) and current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Active Georgia SLP license required to start the assignment.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Minimum of 15–18 months of recent experience in Speech-Language Pathology within the specialty required.
- Acute care experience preferred. Experience with MBS/FEES is preferred but not required.
Assignment Details
- Facility Type: Hospital.
- Shift Name: Days.
- Shift Pattern: 5x8.
- Schedule Notes: Typical schedule includes an 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM primary rate type; schedule includes a minimum of 2 weekends per 4 weeks, preferred 4 weekends per 4 weeks.
- Clinical Focus: Acute care SLP supporting a broad range of medical and surgical diagnoses including ICU, stroke/neurological, dysphagia, respiratory compromise, and cognitive disorders.
- Required Certifications and Licensure: Georgia SLP license, CCC-SLP, BLS.
- Floating: Candidate may be required to support patients across hospital units as needed.
- Experience Requirement: Minimum 15–18 months recent specialty experience required.
