Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
- Active Massachusetts Physical Therapy license required to start the assignment.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross may be required.
- Experience working in skilled nursing facilities or long term care settings required. (Client-specific requirement.)
- Experience evaluating residents, developing therapeutic plans of care, and documenting functional goals and treatment progress.
- Ability to perform therapeutic procedures and modalities under physician or authorized provider orders and follow department protocols.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with residents, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Preferred: prior experience in post-acute care or rehabilitation programs serving older adult populations.
