Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from an American Physical Therapy Association approved program, or equivalent entry-level degree in physical therapy.
- Current, active Florida Physical Therapist license required to start the assignment.
- Proof of current CPR certification required.
- Current driver’s license, reliable transportation, and personal auto insurance required due to home health travel responsibilities.
- 1-2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist in an acute care or rehabilitation setting required.
- Experience with durable medical equipment and ordering appropriate rehabilitative equipment preferred.
- Previous home care experience preferred.
- Ability to perform documentation: prepare and revise Plans of Care, progress notes, phone orders, and other clinical records.
- Ability to perform clinical assessments, provide neuromuscular, neurological, and orthopedic treatment, and instruct patients and families on transfers and assistive devices.
- Ability to travel locally and work a flexible schedule. Ability to perform physical demands of the role including lifting, bending, prolonged standing and walking.
