Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
- Active Florida Physical Therapist license required to start the assignment.
- Active BLS certification required.
- Willingness to work on an Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF) unit is required.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and clinical reasoning skills.
- Experience in acute care and inpatient rehabilitation settings is highly preferred.
- Stroke and neuro rehab experience preferred.
- Experience with common therapy equipment preferred: therapy gyms, Vector, LiteGait, ADL apartment, and adaptive devices.
Assignment Details
- Facility Type: Hospital (includes 28-bed IRF and 383-bed acute care hospital).
- Unit: Physical Therapy, Rehab Services.
- Shift Name: Days.
- Shift Hours: 08:00–16:30.
- Typical patient caseload: IRF ~4 patients/day; acute care ~8–12 patients/day.
- EMR: Meditech.
- Staffing: Day-shift team of approximately 17 PTs (full-time and PRN).
- One weekend shift required per month policy.
