As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing rehabilitative care to patients under the guidance of a Physical Therapist. Your responsibilities will include:
- Utilizing evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions
- Administering various rehabilitation procedures, including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, and modalities
- Assessing patient progress and communicating with the supervising Physical Therapist
- Providing consultation and counseling to patients, families, and caregivers
- Documenting all required information in the electronic documentation system
- Participating in patient care conferences and required meetings
- Supervising and supporting students under the guidance of the Physical Therapist
- Adhering to APTA and State Required practice acts and ethics
Requirements for this role include:
- Active State Licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant
- Need 1 year experience in setting
- Experience in Long-Term Care or Rehabilitation settings
- PTA license
