Hello! We are a small private dental office looking to hire an experienced Dental Hygienist who is looking for a stable, long-term position. Our current hygienist is moving out of state. Currently we have hygiene two days per week (Tuesday and Thursday), but are open to expanding to three days in the future.
Our patients are mostly of adult and geriatric age. Must be okay working in an office with 2 dogs present (one is a therapy dog). We are in the midst of many exciting changes taking place and look forward to bringing in the right person that will help us accomplish our goals & vision for the office.
About Us:
Our practice consists of 3 equipped operatories with 2 additional operatories available for future use. Each operatory has floor-to-ceiling glass wall that looks out to a relaxing garden. Our dentist is a Prosthodontist and does high-end dentistry. We use only the highest quality dental materials and the best laboratories. We use electric handpieces and utilize an i-CAT CBCT and CEREC Primescan digital scanner. As our name suggests, we aim to keep our office innovative with the newest technologies.

The chosen candidate will be expected to:
- Perform patient screening procedures, such as assessment of oral health conditions, health history review, oral cancer screening, head and neck inspection, dental charting, BP/pulse.
- Take dental radiographs (FMX, Panorex, CBCT).
- Take intraoral photos.
- Present periodontal treatment plans.
- Perform prophylaxis, full mouth debridement or scaling & root planing to remove calculus and plaque (hard and soft deposits) from all surfaces of the teeth.
- Apply preventive materials to the teeth (sealants and fluorides).
- Administer local anesthetic.
- Apply adjunctive periodontal treatments as needed (Arestin, subgingival irrigation, etc).
- Educate patients about periodontal disease, it’s effect on the oral cavity and consequences of no treatment.
- Teach patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health (brushing, flossing and nutritional counseling).
- Educate patients about all tooth whitening options and advise on which is best for their case.
- Take digital impressions.
