The Software Quality Analyst II (QA2) is responsible for executing black-box testing across client platforms, software, and hardware. This role focuses on identifying defects, analyzing test results, troubleshooting issues, and producing clear, detailed defect reports for engineering teams. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, analytical, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while maintaining a strong commitment to product quality.
Job Description:
- Perform test planning, test case development, and test execution (manual and automated)
- Testing on Apple OS platforms and hardware
- Analyzing test failures and filing detailed defect reports
- Escalate and report key quality issues and drive issues to resolution
- Provide updates and submit reports related to own area of work
Requirements for the role:
Minimum Requirements:
- 3+ years of professional work experience as a Software Quality Analyst or related
- Experience in test planning, test design, test authoring, and execution
- Analyze test results and identify defects, patterns of issues, troubleshoot scenarios and compile detailed reports
- Self-driven ability to complete tasks with limited guidance
- Possess excellent written and verbal communications skills in English
Ideal Requirements:
- Experience testing mobile devices, hardware, home technologies, and Bluetooth accessories
- Familiarity with AI coding skills, and tooling
- Ability to create scripting to automate routine tasks
- Able to work in a fast paced dynamic environment
- Curious and proactive. Loves to learn and explore.
- Excellent trouble-shooting and debugging skills
- Previous experience working with LLM’s, Virtual Assistants is a plus
- Education: BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent
Hourly Rate and Other Compensation:
The hourly rate for this position is between $37.00 - $39.00 per hour, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
