Director Payroll
The Director of Payroll is responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant laws and tax obligations, supervising the payroll team, and maintaining accurate payroll records. Develop systems to process payroll transactions, coordinate timekeeping systems, oversee payroll changes and system upgrades, ensure compliance with laws and internal policies, supervise and coach payroll staff, liaise with auditors for payroll tax audits, collaborate with HR and accounting teams, maintain accurate records, and resolve payroll-related issues.

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Director Payroll: Pay commensurate with experience.

Director Payroll Responsibilities Include:
Director Payroll Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or other related field, with payroll certification preferred.
- Minimum of 10-15 years of payroll experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Oracle Fusion Cloud payroll and ADP SmartCompliance experience preferred.
- Experience with transitioning payroll systems and processes from existing to new platform.
- Government contracting experience required.
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365.
- Must have previously processed payroll for 3000 - 5000 employees.
- Knowledge of outsourced payroll components such as tax and garnishments.
- Knowledge of enterprise-wide payroll systems, including configuration.
- Demonstrated expertise in payroll compliance and a commitment to staying current on legislative and regulatory changes impacting payroll operations.
- Knowledge of state and federal payroll and tax laws and the implementation of compliance requirements as it pertains to payroll services.
- Proven experience managing payroll with employees across multiple countries. Must have strong understanding of regulatory requirements and the ability to leverage and integrate various systems to ensure accurate and compliant payroll processing.
- Knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures in payroll processing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to identify alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
- Ability to lead, mentor and advise teams.
- Ability to build strong interdepartmental relationships.
- Ability to prioritize work and successfully meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
