Join Jackson Therapy Partners as a travel Speech-Language Pathologist and apply clinical skills in a hospital setting in San Antonio, TX. You will evaluate and treat adults with communication and swallowing disorders while supporting departmental operations and student supervision. Minimum Requirements
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (required by client).
- Completed Clinical Fellowship Year as outlined by ASHA.
- Active Texas state license for Speech-Language Pathology.
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Experience providing SLP services in an acute hospital environment with adult patients, including general medical, stroke, neuro, ortho, and bedside care (client preference).
- Experience with dysphagia assessment and treatment and with adult cognitive/communication disorders.
- Ability to participate in departmental performance improvement activities and to supervise students and volunteers (client expectation).
- Must successfully complete pre-employment and annual health screenings as required by the facility.
- Preferred: Experience working with NICU populations and familiarity with hospital documentation and interdisciplinary care conferences.
Assignment Details
- Facility type: Hospital.
- Shift: Days.
- Shift days: Thursday through Monday.
- Shift hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM.
- Work type: Full time, 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts as scheduled by the facility.
- Patient population: Mostly adults; exposure to general medical, stroke, neuro, ortho, bedside and occasional NICU interactions.
- Clinical expectations: Comprehensive evaluations, individualized treatment plans, documentation of evaluations/progress/discharges, participation in patient/family conferences, and performance improvement activities.
