What We Offer:
- Schedule: 6:45A-3:15P (five 8 hour shifts), full-time, 40 hours. Monday-Friday. No call other than some holiday call rotation required.
- Department: Operating Room
- Location: Forsyth Medical Center, Winston-Salem, NC.
- Unit Info: 17 OR rooms, 1:1 ratio, range of procedures.
- Requirements: This position requires at least two years of OR experience & charge nurse or comparable experience.
What We're Looking For:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. Graduate of an accredited Nursing program; B.S. in Nursing or related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of one year experience as a clinical nurse in acute care environment, required. Previous leadership experience, preferred.
- Licensure/Certification: Current licensure as an RN, required.
- Additional Skills (required): Has knowledge and skills necessary to modify care according to patient(s)’ age. Has the ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs
What You'll Do:
A Clinical Coordinator is a Registered Nurse who functions as a role model, facilitator, mentor and coach for all clinical and support staff.
- Helps coordinate work shift activities in the clinical area.
- Assists the Nurse Manager with continuous quality improvement, personnel utilization, performance appraisals, resource usage and budget management, and maintenance of standards of care.
- Able to provide care to patients on designated units.
- Responsible for communicating between anesthesia, surgeons, leadership, and staff while working.
- This person will be responsible for the orthopedics & podiatry service lines.
