As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room, you will play a vital role in delivering professional nursing care to patients. Your expertise in triaging, assessing, and prioritizing care will ensure that each patient receives the attention they need promptly. You will be responsible for:
- Providing professional nursing care for assigned patients in the emergency room
- Triaging each patient and determining priority of care based on various needs
- Managing time effectively to ensure efficient patient flow
- Moving patients, taking blood samples, cleaning and bandaging wounds
- Administering medications and maintaining proper supplies
- Performing focused assessments of chief complaints according to triage guidelines
- Carrying out patient care according to hospital policies and procedures
Requirements for this role include:
- Current R.N. license to practice in the State of Colorado
- Need 2 years experience in setting
- BLS and ACLS certifications required upon hire
- ENPC or PALS required within 6 months; ENPC preferred
- TNCC required upon hire or within 1 year
- Specialty certification for specialty areas preferred
