PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
As a Sr. DevSecOps Engineer you will actively develop the processes and automation required to scale various solutions and platforms. Sr. DevSecOps Engineers will collaborate with software engineers, operations, security and other team members for the development and delivery of products and platforms. They merge and remove barriers between software development, testing and operations teams with a strong focus on network and infrastructure stability. Sr. DevSecOps Engineer are adept at solving complex technical problems that span multiple areas combining software and systems; excel in automation scripting, infrastructure orchestration, release management/configuration management and continuous integration. You should be able to identify operational patterns and issues and creatively automate solutions working with different internal engineering teams, business stakeholders, by understanding external requirements to create impactful, scalable, and resilient solutions. Implement and manage DevSecOps platforms and processes to develop new ways to improve.
Position may be required to work extended hours, including 24 x 7 coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies.

Primary Duties:
- Make technical decisions, troubleshoot high level technical issues, fiscal responsibility, and the mindset to plan for future growth and upgrades. (40%)
- Works closely with system architecture and design teams to define architecture, coding, and modification to increase automation, reduce technical debt and drive innovation. (25%)
- Leads the analysis, architecture, and pattern development for new cloud services and emerging cloud technologies for platforms such as Azure Cloud and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. Partners with internal stakeholders to provide strategic and technical leadership to ensure cloud solutions and related architectures adhere to industry best practices while delivering business outcomes. (15%)
- Lead interviews with senior users and managers in the process of determining work specifications of a difficult nature. (5%)
- Evaluate solutions against current Exelon Security requirements and future industry trends. (5%)
- Leverages alternative perspectives and emerging technologies to deliver creative solutions across many teams. May contribute to the decisions and development of white papers. (5%)
- Serves as a mentor and coach for less experienced team members. (5%)
Job Scope:

- Participates in design efforts and is sought by others for advice and assistance.
- Participates in the strategic planning and design of core business infrastructures. Has in-depth knowledge of the entire computing architecture of the business. OnPrem/DataCenter, Cloud IaaS, Cloud PaaS, Cloud SaaS
- Monitors and manages a basic cloud-based computing framework. Ensures that systems meet demanding security and up-time requirements.
- Encourages teamwork and facilitates it in other people.
- Solve complex problems, inclusive of partner with vendors and other IT professionals to do so.
- Make multiple decisions simultaneously which impact situations beyond areas of direct responsibility.
- Works closely with project teams to develop intricate and challenging design documents.
- Independently makes informed decisions on monitoring settings such as sample size, level of criticality, and self-healing opportunities. Impact on Organization
- Able to articulate the impact of new enhancements to the infrastructure's operation. Troubleshoots difficult operations problems quickly and accurately.
- Recommends improvements to best practices in area of specialty.
- Leverages alternative perspectives and emerging technologies to deliver creative solutions. Contributes to writing white papers.
- Participates in the development of the company's configuration management plan.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field) and 4-7 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrates mastery of system analysis independently for moderate to difficult applications, such as batch, on-line and event-driven.
- Significant experience in automated testing including unit testing, UI testing and functional testing.
- Demonstrates mastery of designing Cloud Infrastructure services in practical applications of a difficult nature.
- Demonstrates excellence in configuration management.
- Demonstrates excellence in DevSecOps processes.
- Demonstrates excellence in IaC in practical applications of a difficult nature.
- Demonstrates acumen in Issues Management in practical applications of a difficult nature.
- Demonstrates knowledge of what metrics are available, understands their meaning, and can produce sophisticated reports.
- Able to interpret broad concepts (including both business and technical requirements) and design them as an interactive high-fidelity prototype using design software.
- Able to write scripts and implement them and identify where scripts and automation can be implemented.
- Experience in designing Security Architecture and ability to evaluate a solution against security requirements and future industry trends.
- Maintained experience with a specialized DevSecOps skill set and demonstrated competence with business acumen within own discipline or function.

- Annual salary will vary based on a candidate’s skills, qualifications, experience, and other factors: $105,600.00/Yr. – $145,200.00/Yr.
