Alpine Animal Clinic is seeking an Assistant Veterinary Hospital Manager to help support our team and daily hospital operations. This role is ideal for someone with veterinary experience who enjoys mentoring others, staying organized, and helping a hospital run smoothly.
The Assistant Hospital Manager works closely with and reports directly to the Hospital Manager, helping support the team, maintain efficient workflows, and ensure a positive environment for both staff and clients. This position is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow into leadership while remaining closely connected to the hospital team.
Key Responsibilities Include: Team Support & Culture - Help foster a positive, inclusive, and team-oriented environment across all departments.
- Support the Hospital Manager in addressing team concerns and reinforcing hospital values.
- Assist with onboarding and training coordination for new team members.
- Encourage clear communication and collaboration among the hospital team.
Operational Support - Assist with day-to-day hospital operations to help maintain smooth and efficient workflows.
- Support scheduling coordination and help identify staffing needs.
- Assist with inventory tracking and help ensure the hospital is well stocked.
- Coordinate equipment maintenance and facility needs as they arise.
Hospital & Client Experience - Help maintain high standards of client service and assist with resolving client concerns when needed.
- Support a welcoming and positive experience for clients and their pets.
- Assist the Hospital Manager with community outreach or hospital initiatives when applicable.
Schedule, benefits and compensation**: This is a full-time position, and schedule flexibility is required based on business needs. - Compensation: $25-28/hour, based on experience and skillset*

Your Qualifications: - 3+ years of management experience required
- Veterinary experience is preferred but can be developed
- Exceptional communication skills with a collaborative and servant leadership approach
- Resilience and adeptness in handling emotionally charged situations.
- Experience with team training and supervision.
- Strong computer literacy and adaptability to new systems.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Capacity to work autonomously with minimal direct supervision.
