Dental Hygienist (RDH) – Burr Ridge, IL
Our established, fee-for-service dental practice in Burr Ridge, Illinois is seeking an experienced Dental Hygienist to join our friendly and supportive team. Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform routine prophylaxis (dental cleanings) to remove plaque and tartar
- Apply sealants and other preventive treatments
- Review medical and dental histories and perform oral health assessments
- Conduct oral cancer screenings and periodontal evaluations
- Take, develop, and interpret dental radiographs (digital X-rays and panographs)
- Perform scaling and root planing for patients with periodontal disease
- Document patient findings, treatment plans, and clinical notes accurately
- Educate patients on proper brushing, flossing, and nutrition for long-term oral health
- Explain procedures and help patients feel comfortable and informed during visits
- Collaborate closely with the dentist and clinical team to provide comprehensive care
- Follow infection control and sterilization protocols at all times
Requirements
- Valid Dental Hygienist license
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience preferred
- Ability to administer local anesthesia
- Nitrous oxide certification preferred
- Strong periodontal therapy skills
- Comfortable using digital radiography and panographs
- Excellent communication and patient education skills
- Positive, team-oriented mindset with strong relationship-building abilities
Pay & Compensation
- $55–$58+ per hour depending on experience
- 401(k)
