PARAMEDIC FIELD SUPERVISOR

Starting at $33.00 / hour with credit given for experience

Location: The Gorge (754 Silica Road NW, George, WA 98848)

We’re hiring a Paramedic Field Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations, including facilitating internal communication between field crews and management, outside facility interface, facilitating short-term scheduling needs, equipment, and supply maintenance.

Responsibilities:

Interacts, assists, and supports crews daily throughout their shifts.

Direct, monitor, communicate with, and evaluate all field team members.

Ensure maintenance of quality field operations through daily interaction, oversight, communication, and evaluation with field team members.

Prepares written feedback for team member evaluations.

Proactive in approach to day-to-day operations, implements process improvements.

Ensure PCR’s and other field paperwork is 100% reconciled daily in conjunction with the PCR processing.

Ensure 100% of operational response exceptions are brought to closure with appropriate action.

Monitors equipment cleanliness and equipment maintenance issues.

Works with crews to maintain equipment cleanliness and proper DHS levels.

Makes recommendations to the Training Manager and Clinical Specialist to improve various aspects of the training and QA/QI programs (This may include changes in specific study materials, technology, and standard operating policies, procedures, education, and training).

Provide team counseling and guidance and information regarding GMR operations.

Promptly investigate incidents involving assigned units or team members, including, filing of internal and external reports, and counseling.

Directs and leads support staff in inventorying, ordering, receiving, stocking, and issuing medical and shop equipment and supplies.

Ensure maintenance of adequate levels of staffing, equipment and medical supplies for field units.

Implement and enforce company policies and standards.

Perform direct ALS patient care activities as needed.

Maintain communication with other agencies and departments.

Serve on committees with other departments to set policies and generate ideas as needed.

Communicate company goals and standards of excellence through exemplary daily job performance, attitude, initiative, and demeanor.

Prepare reports and manages projects as assigned by Operations Supervisor or Operations Manager.

Maintain availability during disaster situations or mass casualty incidents and assist in any capacity needed.

Attend scheduled meetings.

Responsible for complying with all local, state, and federal employment laws and company policies. (i.e., Americans with Disability Act, Affirmative Action Plan, etc.)

Responsible for supervising, directing and developing subordinates, including completing performance reviews, counseling sessions, etc.

Mentor team members, conduct performance evaluations, counsel, and provide disciplinary actions to assigned team members, and works to facilitate individual and team development that drives positive results.

Champion affirmative action efforts in all aspects of employment, including but not limited to staffing, training, promotion, etc.

Responsible for compliance with and enforcement of company/department policies and procedures.

Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (GED).

State Paramedic certification or eligible for State certification.

State Driver’s License.

Current CPR, PHTLS, and ACLS certification, or equivalent credentials.

3 years of EMS experience required.

Paramedic field experience is preferred; EMT field experience is considered.

Driving record in compliance with GMR policy.
