As a Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse, you will play a crucial role in both caregiving and care management. You will be responsible for a group of patients, implementing the Nursing Process, and overseeing the work of other caregivers. Your ability to make sound judgments and decisions will ensure the best outcomes for your patients.
- Perform assessments and data collection focusing on physiological, psychosocial, and cognitive status
- Implement care plans and procedures consistently and skillfully
- Identify patient learning needs and provide education as needed
- Document patient information accurately in electronic medical records
- Delegate and supervise patient care activities effectively
- Function as a Charge Nurse when required, coordinating staff and patient assignments
- Maintain professional growth through ongoing education and training
- Adhere to safety and infection control protocols
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures
Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Current Washington State RN Licensure
- HCP Level of BLS certification within 30 days of hire
- Experience as an acute care registered nurse preferred
- Advanced certifications such as NRP, ACLS, and AWHONN's Intermediate Fetal Monitoring preferred
- Strong critical thinking and crisis management skills
- Ability to care for patients across the age continuum
- Physical ability to perform CPR, lift, and manage equipment
- Emotional stability to handle high-stress situations
