The Manufacturing Electrical/Controls Engineer is responsible for planning, implementing and maintaining stable and capable production/business processes as they pertain to equipment functionality; machine/equipment capabilities as they relate to safety, throughput, and quality.
Job Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
- Test and coordinate the implementation of preventive actions in the production lines in order to establish and verify capable and stable production processes.
- Resolve issues associated with assembly automation, workstations, robotics and automated equipment
- Troubleshoot PLC controls with electrical components servo-drives, motors, wiring and panels.
- Review and make PLC program changes on Siemens, Fanuc, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi and other machining PLC programs.
- Capture and document changes and update prints as needed
- Lead, coordinate and facilitate troubleshooting electrical issues, problem resolution as it relates to equipment downtime, throughput improvement or any safety concerns, establish, maintain, update and administer electrical control plans.
- Participate in all aspects of simultaneous engineering efforts to improve current processes and new projects; and perform any related tasks as needed.
- The Controls Engineer will work closely with maintenance groups, trades and business unit leaders.
