Then look no further!BostonOperations is looking for a Group Manager of Field Engineering (GMFE) to lead a team of field engineersbased out of our Norwood, MA officein providing high quality,state-of-the-artloss prevention services to customers supported byBostonOperations with a focus on risk assessment, riskimprovementand client engagement.
- Lead associated field engineering team toward continuous improvement in achieving fewer and smaller losses by assuring field engineers partner with client service teams and clients to thoroughlyidentifyrisk, accurately quantify hazards, effectively communicate exposures, and energetically improve the risk.
- Continually improve thefieldengineering skills and knowledge associated with understanding and describing the risk to clients through on-the-job coaching,trainingand ongoing support.
- Regularly trail team members withappropriate documentationand guidance. Alsoassessskills of team members through report review ensuring high quality risk reports withappropriate, supported engineering judgment is applied.
- Manage the field engineering team such that the return on the engineering time and effort is maximized and consistently applied.
- Actively use all available resources toassistfield engineers in finding the best solutions, alternatives, or innovative methods for reducing oreliminatingexposures.
- Develop, implement, andmonitora field engineering area business plan that aligns to the corporateobjectivesanddrivespositive impact on the Key Result Areas (profitability, customerretentionand new business). Assure alignment of locationobjectiveswith account teamobjectives.
- Beatthe forefront of the many engineering changes thataredeveloped within our organization. Adopt change and effectivelydemonstratethe value of change to the team and then hold them accountable for making those changes.
- Set strategic direction of field engineering activities by being a key member of the engineering management team as well as collaborating with those throughout theorganizationensuring delivery of excellent results for both the team and the operation.
- Partner with Account Engineers in the effective implementation of Project Servicing Plans on large projects andensureproper handling ofsmaller location changes effectively.
- Assure customer satisfaction throughmonitoringthe quality andtimelydelivery of team's products and services.
- Drive the value of field engineering products and services by assuring team members illustrate valuable differential of FM engineering capabilities to customers.
- Provide management oversight for the implementation of field safety procedures by field engineers.
Qualifications:
2+ years of account engineering orclient serviceexperience (underwriting, account management, claims, etc.) desired.
Skills/Knowledge: proven leadership, excellent communication, and coaching skills. Decisiveness, good judgment, technicalproficiency, strong risk identification and quantification skills, considerable knowledge of engineering processes & FMresources, ability to plan and organize.
