As a Registered Nurse in the Psychiatric Unit, you will play a pivotal role in the formulation and execution of patient care plans. Your responsibilities will include:
- Participating in weekly clinical staff meetings and reviewing patient treatment plans
- Providing medication education to patients and families
- Documenting patient emotional and mental observations accurately
- Leading teaching and educational groups as per the APU schedule
- Training LPNs and MHTs in charting, vital signs, and de-escalation techniques
- Being an active member of a PI team or other task force
- Maintaining Therapeutic Options certification
- Serving as a positive role model for patients and employees
Requirements for this role include:
- At least 6 months of psych experience
- De-Escalation training (preferred)
- Certifications: NIH, BLS (AHA)
- State License: Oklahoma
- COVID-19 vaccine (medical and religious exemptions may apply)
