Plains All American is an industry-leading transportation and midstream provider specializing in transportation, storage, processing and marketing solutions for crude oil and natural gas liquids (NGLs). We own an extensive network of pipeline transportation, terminalling, storage and gathering assets in key crude oil and NGL producing basins and transportation corridors and at major market hubs in the United States and Canada. This strategic role is responsible for maximizing the value of integration platforms and services at Plains. The Product Owner will guide and collaborate with internal IS teams and stakeholders to understand technical and business needs, maximize product value, and oversee delivery cycles. You will work on a collaborative delivery team comprised of internal employees, Contingent Workforce and Managed Services partners to support and optimize integration solutions at Plains.
As a Product Owner, you will apply your in-depth understanding of integration patterns (APIs, batch, event-driven, middleware) and platform functionality to articulate, define, and advocate for the product vision and an effective technical roadmap based on our organization’s needs. This role acts as the voice of the internal IS customer, translating stakeholder needs into actionable tasks for the delivery team. The Product Owner plays a critical role in ensuring that integration platforms deliver measurable business outcomes and drive adoption by creating effective engagement strategies.

Key Responsibilities
Product Ownership
Define, own, and iteratively manage the integration platform roadmap in line with stakeholder demands.
Apply technical expertise in integration to proactively engage with business stakeholders, assess requirements, and recommend optimal solutions. Ensure early alignment between business needs and technical deliverables, linking solution design to the product roadmap.
Manage and optimize the product backlog to maximize the value of the integration platform, prioritizing new features, technical improvements, and bug fixes.
Oversee the governance and prioritization process to ensure work items deliver business value and align with the product vision.
Understand internal IS stakeholder requirements and expectations to guide value-driven delivery, prioritizing conversations to deeply understand user needs.
Ensure staff and vendor partners have clarity on product requirements and user expectations.
Oversee the agile approach and work closely to manage Contingent Workforce and Managed Services providers’ technical delivery, including sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.
Maintain product health by ensuring the team follows appropriate processes (development, test, change management, etc.) to protect the stability of the environment.
Evaluate the work done by the delivery team and provide constant feedback.
Actively make decisions within your domain, focusing on activities that directly contribute to stated goals.
Make data-driven decisions rather than decisions based on feelings.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required
Strong technical acumen in integration technologies (APIs, ESB, ETL, batch jobs, event-driven architecture) and experience with cloud integration platforms (e.g., Azure Integration Services, MuleSoft).
Demonstrated leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships, influence, and clearly articulate technical and business concepts.
Proven ability to manage product roadmaps, prioritize and execute multiple tasks, and deliver measurable outcomes in a fast-paced, Agile environment.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (such as Azure DevOps), product lifecycle management, and DevOps/CI-CD practices.
Experience coordinating with Contingent Workforce and Managed Services partners, and managing vendor relationships.
Knowledge of security standards, compliance, and change management to ensure successful product adoption and platform stability.
Customer-driven mindset, ownership of outcomes, and commitment to continuous improvement and value delivery.
Cleared criminal history (background) and satisfactory reference checks
Compliance with the Company’s drug and alcohol policy including pre-employment D&A testing.

Education
College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science, information systems, business administration, or related domain.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a Product Owner, BA, Scrum Master, or Product Specialist capacity, or a similar role within technology-driven organizations.
Certification in Agile methodologies (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), SAFe Product Manager) is an asset.
